Strategy For Civilization 5 Explained

Civilization 5

I believe that the Civilization franchise is one of the best turn-based strategy games out there. The first Game was launched in 1991 and IGN named it as the 4th best All-Time PC game in the year 2000. Now, the franchise is now on its fifth installation and still, I believe that it is still one of the best among turn-based strategy games. IGN and Gamespot both agree by giving Civilization 5 a score of 9 out of 10.

Civilization 5 Gods And Kings - In Civilization 5, the goal is still the same - "Build an empire to stand the test of time." But, the developers of the current version made some tweaks to make the best strategy game more interesting. One of the changes is the way units occupy space. In the previous versions, units of the game can occupy same hexes at the same time. In this way, you can stack as many units you want to create what they call as "stacks of doom." These stacks are usually used for military tactics and to make advancement in your war effort because your opponent doesn't know how much units you have in that stack. This is changed in Civilization 5. Now, only one unit can occupy a hex. Certainly, this will definitely change the way how to play the game especially if your strategy to win is through military advancement.

I played Civilization games since in its third installation. Usually, a single game lasts for about 7 to 12 hours. It is very frustrating if after those hours, you find yourself in the losing side. This is why it is good to have a Civilization 5 Guide. The game is very complex. It has many elements such as City Building, Technological Research and Advancement, Units and Combat, Culture Expansion and many more.

Civilization 5 was just released recently. Getting a Civilization 5 Guide in pdf or book form does not make sense yet because it is very possible that there are many strategies which are not discovered yet. However, this does not change the fact that it is valuable to have an access to Civilization 5 Guide. The good thing is that there is a Civilization 5 Guide which is membership based. You only need to pay a onetime life membership fee and you will have an access to a Civilization 5 Guide that develops overtime. Currently, the site already contains useful information about Civilization 5 strategy. This is a good way to have an early edge in Civilization 5.
